Pudina Rice Recipe (Mint Rice) 🍚✨
📝 Ingredients:
- 1 cup IndRizo's Premium Raw Rice
- 2 tbsp ghee/oil
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 small tomato, chopped
- 1 green chili, slit
- ½ cup mint leaves (pudina)
- ¼ cup coriander leaves
- 1-inch ginger
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 2-3 cloves
- 2-3 cardamom pods
- 1 bay leaf
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp salt (adjust as needed)
- 2 cups water
- 8-10 cashews (optional)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Pudina Paste
- Blend mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, and green chili with a little water to make a smooth paste. Set aside.
2️⃣ Sauté Spices & Onions
- Heat ghee/oil in a pan.
- Add cumin, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and bay leaf. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.
3️⃣ Cook the Masala
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Stir in turmeric powder, salt, and garam masala.
- Add the mint-coriander paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
4️⃣ Cook the Rice
- Add the washed and drained basmati rice and mix gently.
- Pour 2 cups of water, cover, and cook on low heat for 10-12 minutes until rice is soft and fluffy.
5️⃣ Final Touch
- Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with roasted cashews (optional).
